A man has been charged after surrendering to police following a three-hour house siege in central western NSW.
He surrendered to police about 11.30am (AEDT) on Saturday and a 10-year-old boy was safely removed from the home.
Officers were called out to the home in Cargo Road after several shots were fired shortly after 8am (AEDT).
A perimeter was immediately established around the house and officers began negotiating with a man inside.
He surrendered without incident, police said.
The man has been charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm, common assault, firing a firearm in a manner likely to injure persons, and discharging a firearm with intent to resist arrest.
He was refused bail to appear at Orange Local Court on Sunday.
