The family of murdered schoolgirl Jessie Cate, 15, has made an emotional plea to end violence in the community.
The teenager’s body was found in a shallow bush grave south of Mandurah yesterday.
A 19-year-old man has been charged with her murder.
Jessie’s uncle Ric Troode has thanked the community for its support and hopes lessons will be learned from his family’s loss.
“These sorts of tragedies destroy many families and I don’t want to see any more families destroyed in this way again,” Mr Troode said.
“Let Jessie’s memory live on by saying ‘no more’.
“Help us spread the word, we can all make a difference.
“We want Jessie’s death to mean something; she loved everybody and she never had any hatred towards anyone.
“I ask everybody to share this.”
