A Sydney police officer has broken one of his legs while trying to break-up a drunken fight in Bondi.
Police say officers had been on patrol at about 11pm (AEST) on Saturday night when they came across two men fighting in a park.
One of the men fell onto the senior constable’s leg, fracturing it in two places, while the officer was attempting to stop the fight.
A 30-year-old man’s expected to be charged with affray, offensive behaviour and resist arrest, while a 35-year-old has been released without charge at this stage.
Police say both men were heavily-affected by alcohol.
