The strikes have given rise to anti-US sentiments in the impoverished Arab nation, where many discredit President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi as a puppet of Washington.
Hadi took power with direct support from the United Stated and Saudi Arabia in a one-man presidential race held after the eventual resignation of dictator Ali Abdullah Saleh in February.
