Vic woman injured after tree falls on car

A 60-year-old woman motorist has suffered critical a head injury when a tree fell onto her car in Melbourne’s north.

Ambulance Victoria intensive care paramedic Paul Howells says a tree was blown over and landed on the front of the woman’s vehicle, trapping her by the legs.

A paramedic on his way to work was first on the scene and called for help.

Emergency services rescued her and she has been flown by air ambulance to the Alfred Hospital.
