Police have charged a 48-year-old woman with murder after a body was found in a suburban creek yesterday.
Huajiao Zhuang of Reservoir faced an out of sessions hearing last night and was remanded to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates Court on Monday.
Search and rescue officers located the body in Darebin Creek, Bundoora, around 3pm yesterday.
A police spokeswoman told The Age that no further details about the victim or alleged killing would be given at this stage.
Police sealed off a house in Tasman Drive, Bundoora, before the body was found.
The discovery was made after a woman contacted police with details of the alleged murder.
