Police have identified a body of a man who was found bound, gagged and burned in parkland in the Geelong suburb of Corio on Friday last week.
He was 49-year-old Drysdale resident Russell Hammond.
Mr Hammond’s car had been torched 14 hours before his body was discovered.
Some media reports say Mr Hammond’s death may have been the result of a sex act that went terribly wrong and that someone has tried to dispose of the body.
