TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) trading hit 2,134 KT worth over $891 million in spot and side markets in April.
According to a report from the IME International Affairs and PR, 2,134 KT of different commodities were traded in domestic and export trading floors, including 1,442 KT of various commodities worth more than $505 million in oil and petrochemical trading floor, 678 KT of different products worth approximately $379 million in metals and minerals trading floor, and approximately 10,035 MT of agricultural products worth $4,689 thousand in agricultural trading floor in the spot market.
Moreover, this month, 75 KT of bitumen worth more than $122 million, 1,255 MT of insulation worth more than $424 thousand, 10 KT of sulfur worth more than $424,737, 55 KT of iron ore worth approximately $1.9 million, 4,600 MT of lube cut oil worth over $1 million as well as 500 MT of agricultural products worth more than $966,000.
In addition, IME experienced trading of 4,354 MT of products worth $2,041 thousand in its side market during the same month.
It is worth noting, the derivatives market played host to the trading of 255,381 gold coin futures contracts worth over $913 million.
