The victims were on a bus traveling on the highway between the cities of Raqqa and Aleppo on Sunday when the vehicle went over the explosive device, the state Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported.
The agency added that two other explosive devices were dismantled on the spot.
The report said terrorists were committing more crimes against civilians and the security forces’ agents and were destroying public and private property.
Moreover, an armed terrorist group targeted a train loaded with wheat in Idlib province in the northwest, wounding six of the crewmembers.
Syria has been gripped by a year-long deadly unrest. Calm has returned to most parts of the country since a ceasefire came into effect on April 12, though, there have been reports of sporadic clashes in some parts of the country with Damascus accusing armed groups of violating the truce by continuing attacks on government forces.
The truce is being monitored by the United Nations observers, who arrived in the country last week.
On Saturday, the UN Security Council also adopted a resolution, allowing 300 unarmed military observers to monitor the ceasefire.
