University of Wisconsin Removes Boulder From Campus Because It’s “Racist”

Guys, I just learned that even rocks are racist now. White supremacists have been placing giant boulders around America in order to taunt minorities and stuff, and it really needs to come to an end. It’s like one giant microaggression.

From WREX:

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The University of Wisconsin is removing a 70-ton boulder from its Madison campus at the request of minority students who view the rock as a symbol of racism. Chamberlin Rock, on the top of Observatory Hill, is named after Thomas Crowder Chamberlin, a geologist and former university president. Students of color on campus say the rock represents a history of discrimination. It was referred to as a derogatory name in a Wisconsin State Journal story in the 1920s, at a time when the Ku Klux Klan was active on campus. The boulder was being removed Friday morning.

If a “minority” is offended, we must all bend over backwards to ensure that we rectify the situation. If they say historic statues and monuments need to be toppled, then make it happen. If it’s a racist 70-ton rock that hurt some feelings, then lift that big boulder out of place and blow it to smithereens.

Racism comes in many forms, and one of them is definitely geological, even if it’s not exactly logical.
